how do I get updates on limited tracking updates.
Can anyone please tell me how to solve this problem with limited tracking number not being updated after customer has received item without using automated system
Don't know if I get paid for item unless this gets straightened out first and can't seem to get a live person to answer a question
Please and Thank You
Mike

ESE (eBay Standard Envelope) for collector cards is not door to door tracking, it is Metered Mail and the tracking code is only scannable on highspeed mail sorting machines, not by postal carriers. Therefore, it may never show delivered and if a Buyer files a claim that they did not receive their item you Refund them immediately then pursue reimbursement from eBay as explained on this Help page: eBay standard envelope | eBay
What happens in many instances is that the last scan is on a mail sorting machine at least one stop upstream of the Post Office for the Buyer's zip code.
It is also possible that you might see your payments on hold for up to 31 days. Sadly, eBay does not take Feedback into consideration when confirming delivery.

Sadly what drives some of eBay's decisions is their subjective Seller Metrics. They use those to try and control Sellers. On some levels that's good and bad Sellers need to be weeded out and canned to improve the integrity for the good honest Sellers.
However, with the ESE situation certain Seller Metrics should just be dropped because they are based on door to door tracking and getting an acceptance scan by the carrier. The ESE code cannot be scanned by any counter clerk's or route driver's scanner, period. Therefore, the first scan is on the first high speed mail sorting machine and THAT is not the same for all Sellers depending on where they are located. That's great for Sellers near larger cities but for those out in the middle of nowhere it might take days. It is not fair to Sellers who sell cards, coins and the other items that qualify for ESE.
