How do I get eBay to understand that an item they have marked for delivery HAS BEEN DELIVERED!
The buyer wants his money. I have contacted eBay twice and their automated chat systems ain't worth a crap. Where is the customer service?

Mentor6 months agoSince you mentioned receiving the card, I assume this is a trading card? If the seller used the ebay Standard Envelope, the USPS carrier does not scan the envelope as delivered. The "tracking" is read by the high speed sorting machines at the hubs. The seller can go here to check:
https://www.trackmyshipment.co/
https://www.trackmyshipment.co/shipment-tracking
https://parcelsapp.com/en/carriers/easyship
If there is no information, ebay will send the seller the payout after 30 days if the buyer never files a case for an Item Not Received case.

Mentor6 months agoYou must be the buyer and the seller wants their money. How was the item delivered? Was it delivered in person? Was the item supposed to be shipped and instead hand delivered to you? Was it shipped to you? Was there tracking on the package? If so, what does the tracking show? Without more information we cannot advise you. These are all questions eBay would ask you.

OP6 months agoThere was tracking, I guess the postman did not scan it. I have the card, I can't mark as received, and eBay keeps sending me generic auto bot crap that does not address the situation.

Mentor6 months agoHi @baker21128
If you are the Seller:
-Did you print the shipping label through eBay?
-If not did you manually add tracking to the sold file from wherever you purchased your label?
-Did you get the carrier acceptance scan within your handling time?
-Did the Buyer file a claim that they did not receive the item?
-Did you upload tracking to the eBay claim or did you refund the Buyer through the claim?
-Did you file a missing mail piece with the carrier if eBay tracking is not updating?
If you are the Buyer: You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the date of receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
-Ask your question here if not on the account level, we have no access to accounts here. This forum is supported by volunteer Buyers and Sellers.
You have some options for contacting eBay:
We recently learned that many of the links we post to Request a call back are now simply forwarding members to eBay's Customer Service "How can we help you today?" page (link below). On that page members have to complete numerous choices before being given ways to be in direct contact with eBay. Depending on the subject, representative availability and other factors requesting a call back may or may not be possible. Chat or an email may be provided. If you get a Chat box Type “AGENT in the box. You can also contact eBay through Social Media if you have accounts there.

-Contacting eBay via Social Media:
Contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

OP6 months agoCan you read?? The card was delivered, eBay says it wasn't. How can I get through to eBay, this autobot reply crap is ridiculous. I HAVE THE CARD! BUYER WANTS HIS MONEY!

Mentor6 months ago@baker21128 We are volunteers doing our best. Unfortunately since you have NO ITEMS in the sold section on this account we thought you were a buyer not a seller.
Respond in the case with the tracking that shows delivery and you win the case. If you don't have valid tracking that shows delivery then the buyer wins the case. That is how eBay works. If you wish to discuss this further you need to contact eBay Customer Service using the contact methods that @mr_lincoln provided.

You have every right to be angry and you are more than welcome to take it out on me. We are volunteer Buyers and Sellers like the other members who come to this space asking questions. Many arrive at their wits end having been completely frustrated by the difficulties in trying to resolve a problem or trying to get someone from eBay on the phone or in a chat.
Since we have no account access we can only respond to the information provided by those who post here. The more detail we have the better we can respond ... so on a certain level this space aligns with the old adage, "garbage in garbage out" ... and that is just an expression with no offense was intended.
eBay has the ESE (eBay Standard Envelope) for collector cards, coins, etc up to $ 20 for a single item and $ 50 for multiple items. It can only be used in certain categories and is Metered Mail not door to door tracking. It's use and scan-ability limitations plus the other information that @jacbarcollectibles , @comics-scifi-collectibles and @disneyshopper have provided is accurate. If delivery is never confirmed Sellers can go back to eBay for reimbursement and that is nothing a Buyer needs to worry about.
We are really sorry you have had a bad experience on eBay ...
