How do I file a claim with a seller that no longer has an account
Summary: chri25230 purchased a 2026 Privy Mark Quarter that appears to be the wrong size and suspects it might be fake, especially after noticing reports of counterfeit quarters from an online platform. The seller has removed their account, leaving chri25230 uncertain about obtaining a refund before the return deadline of September 10th. They are seeking advice on how to proceed with a claim under these circumstances.
I purchased a 2026 Privy Mark Quarter and just realized that it isnt the right size. I never thought anything about it, but I keep seeing these fake quarters being found and a lot of them have come from Ebay. I read that I can return this quarter until September 10th, but when I went to try to contact seller, they had removed their account.
Again, I wouldnt have even noticed until I kept seeing articles about the fake quarters, and I even took pictures to see if someone on Facebook could tell me if it was fake or real. Today I just realized that a quarter is supposed to be quarter size, and this looks closer to a silver dollar size. I didnt think anything about it until today. Why is one soo much bigger??
Anyways, am I out of luck getting my money back, or can someone point me in the right direction??
Thanks,
Christian McGinnis

I am sorry that happened! It doesn't matter if the seller is still on eBay.
You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.
You can open your return request here. Just click the photo and follow the instructions.

-- You can check the status of your case here:

If the seller doesn't provide a refund or a valid return label after 3 full business days; you will be able to Ask eBay to Step In

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.
