How do I deal with this dishonest seller?
After the purchase I received this message from the seller: "Sorry, We need to cancel this order as eBay is asking 3K in fees which is not normal." Since then he has been playing games with me and not shipping the item. How do persuade eBay to tell him either he has to ship the item or else he will be stopped from doing further business on the platform?

Mentor4 months agoThe seller should file a cancellation for Out of stock, and refund your payment. Otherwise,
Go to your Purchase History and locate the purchased item. What is the last estimated delivery date? You have up to 30 days past that date in order to file an Item Not Received case, to get your money back. Once you file, the seller has 3 days to provide a tracking number that shows Delivered or issue a full refund. If the seller does neither, on day 4 you return to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force a refund.
If it is past the 30 day limit, you will need to log into Paypal and file an Item Not Received case there, if that is how you paid, as they allow up to 180 days from date of purchase to file, to get your money back.
If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with your credit card issuer.

OP4 months agoBut he is not out of stock. His messages show he wants to cheat eBay. I want the item shipped to me not a refund. Didn’t we have a binding contract? What should I do?

Mentor4 months agoebay cannot force the seller to ship to you. The best that is going to happen is a full refund. What is the item number? I can't imagine any item where the seller would be paying 3k in fees.
