How do I contact EBay Re: dispute with seller?
How do I talk to an Ebay representative?
The seller sent me a defective speaker.
But instead of helping me themselves they asked me to contact the manufacturer.
I told them that I I would, but that they would still be responsible for the return shipping costs. They seemed to agree.
But now that I’ve shipped the speaker to the manufacturer the seller is backtracking. It cost me $14.90 to ship the speaker. The seller says they can only refund $6, or they can send me a return label. I already returned the speaker to the manufacturer because that’s what they told me to do!!!
The seller isn’t taking responsibility for sending me a defective speaker!
I’ve searched eBay for a way to get help with this. But none of the boxes match the help I need. It’s like the seller knew it would be a problem to reach EBay!

Mentor3 years agoYou should have returned it for a full refund, including the seller paying return shipping.
Now that you have shipped it to a different address, you no longer have the money back guarantee protection. eBay can not force the seller to pay the shipping to the manufacturer.

Mentor3 years agoThe return system is automated, so there is no need to contact eBay and there is no phone number to call. You should have opened a return through your purchase history rather than ship the item back to the manufacturer. If there was a warranty, that is through the manufacturer. If the item was within the 30 day money back guarantee time period, that is how the refund/return should have been handled.
Not sure what to tell you to do now that the item is no longer in your possession.
