How do i check on a item to see if it is a legitimate product

Thinking on buying a truck and the seller is using ebay motors, and I would like to know for certain that it's not some kind of scam

ebay has nothing to do with motor vehicles found on another website. ebay does not have a warehouse, does not ship to you for free to inspect and then ship it back if you don't like it. ebay does not accept ebay gift cards in payment for a motor vehicle.

If you don't find the motor vehicle listed ON ebay, with a 12 digit item number, that you either bid on or use the BUY IT NOW, the transaction is a SCAM. Stop communicating with the scammer. Report that "listing" to the website it is listed on.

It is some kind of Scam. There is no truck, only a scammer who wants to steal your money. Remember eBay has nothing to do with anything you may see on some other website.
