How do i change the tracking number on a sold item?
Hello,
I listed an item a few years back and rather remarkably it sold last week! Unfortunately , in the meantime, Ebay Simple Postage had converted the postage to weighing less that a kilo and measuring the size of a shoe box, when it was actually a fairly large painting. I therefore had no choice but to purchase a another label outside of Ebay using Packlink. Ebay recommended that I still 'print' the simple postage label to show that it had been dispatched and also, i couldn't find the address unless i did this. Ebay online help also said that this would be refunded if not used. Sadly for me this will be to the buyer not me. I have 2 questions.
1) I have been trying to change the tracking number. Ebay online AI help says i should be able to do this in 'orders' but the drop down menu, next to the item, does not give me this option and i have tried using my laptop and phone. Does anyone know how to do this?
2) I have emailed the buyer and told them the saga, twice. They did not get back to me. The item has now been delivered. Packlink sent me a photo of the parcel outside the buyer's door (well i hope it was their door!) so i sent this to the buyer also. I have not heard from the buyer and they have not left feedback. If the item continues to show as dispatched but not posted (if you know what i mean) will Ebay eventually refund the buyer?
I have been unable to find a telephone number to ring Ebay. Any ideas/help would be appreciated.
