How Do I Change My Avatar Here?
I found the way to change my avatar on eBay's selling site, and did. But.... the old avatar I started with way back in 2008 is here ???
I can't find a way to change it, like I did there.

You can use any approved image you've uploaded as your personal avatar.
To use an uploaded image as your personal avatar:
See if it works! But I do know some changes were made.

Mentor1 year agoGo to My Settings > Avatars.
There is no "Avatars" entry in My Settings that I can find, unfortunately, aside from that Help text.
Either that Help text refers to changes that have not rolled out to me yet, or (more likely, I am afraid) it refers to the old Avatar changing process which I dimly recall using before, but which Khoros removed several years ago.

I mean I have a clue about how forum site ownership changes hands, sometimes.

Mentor1 year agoI believe Khoros still runs the boards for eBay, but there are references in that thread to "API deprecation" -- meaning that certain software tools in the Application Programming Interface that allow sharing of information between sites have changed, and some features may not work the same because of that.

Mentor1 year agoAt least you have a decent icon image to fall back on; so it could be worse.
I think the profile image is tied to another issue, which is mentioned in this thread:

An excellent question that I do not know the answer to. eBay recently changed how the community boards interact with eBay's main site, and one of the changes means that profile images are no longer being imported from eBay profile pages.
There should be a way for new users to choose community images, but I have not seen any way for current users to change old profile images on the community pages.
