You question ask asked could mean more than one thing.
-If you mean how to send a Buyer a partial refund for some shipping costs then use the drop down menu on the sold item and scroll down to Send offer, click that. A series of pages will let you enter the amount to be refunded, write a note and select a reason and then finally review and issue the refund.
-If you mean how do you issue a re-paid shipping label to a Buyer to return an item that can be done if it is an official eBay claim that you have to accept, you will have the option to provide the Buyer with a shipping label through eBay.

OP4 months agoMy buyer bought and paid for his own shipping label. I told him that was ok. This is my first return. I am willing to pay for his return shipping. Will he be able to request the return postage reimbursement when submitting his return refund for the item?

You need to have the Buyer email you the tracking number. If the return is an official one through eBay that is important for his protection on the return claim. However, you can only refund the Buyer what they originally paid for the item plus shipping. You cannot refund them more for their out of pocket expense for a return label. eBay has no provisions for that. You would have to pay them outside eBay which means exchanging personal information which is NOT advisable.
The only potential issue is if the Buyer changed the return address and a package gets shipped nearby but not to you. The Buyer can get eBay involved and show that tracking shows a confirmed delivery which means you would still have to refund the Buyer but would not have the returned item. The package they send somewhere else could be empty for that matter.
In the future you should provide the return label for your own protection. You should also consider changing your return policy to Accepting returns instead of the no return policy you use ... it is NOT protection against anything being returned and eBay has numerous reasons for returns that would force you to pay for a return label and refund in full upon receipt of the item back.

OP4 months agoThank you for your helpful information. This Is my first return and and I have learned alot. I will issue the shipping label to them next time for sure.

Yes, there is a lot to learn. While there is a good chance that the Buyer shipped the item back to you I just wanted to make you were aware of what can and does happen.
