How Come Buyer Cannot Report Sellers
Every time one fills out report sellers and click submit...we ran into a problem...
But sellers can report buyers, cancel without a validity anytime...this is not a fair marketplace, it seems.
There need to be a separate online court for buyer-seller disputes...that too is coming soon....

Mentor2 years agoBuyers can (and do) report sellers just as easily as sellers can report buyers.
You can report a seller here:

If you are running into an error message, it may because you haven't filled out all the required fields. When pages aren't working properly, you may need to clear your cache and cookies. You can try another browser as well.

OP2 years agoAll browsers are sufficient, one shouldn't need a special one. If one clear cache, one has to log in again and most likely need to retype one's message if by chance one didn't copy it. It a systematic issue and appears as if eBay intentionally create it that way, since it only happens with report a seller.
In my over 20yrs shopping on eBay, it has never been easy to report sellers and I am speaking as a person who is highly tech-savvy.

OP2 years agoJust cleared cache, log in and re-submitted, the same exact event happened...it's designed that way...

Mentor2 years agoHi @9ahau
eBay is a glitchy website … something that affects both buyers and sellers.
For some reason, you prefer to believe that glitches and mistakes are ‘by design’. [I notice that you left a seller negative feedback because of $3.21 postage due, which you insisted was deliberate.]
I’ve seen no evidence that eBay inhibits buyers from reporting sellers. In fact, you’re the first buyer I’ve seen make that accusation in 18 years of reading eBay Community posts.
Try reporting the seller a bit later. It should eventually go through. Sorry for your inconvenience.

Mentor2 years agoHi again,
Having worked for software companies for about 35 years and on eBay daily for 19 years, I can tell you that not all browsers behave the same. Also clearing your cache is not the same as clearing your cookies.
You can try those two other suggestions or not - that's up to you. But the report seller function is working for other buyers. Since it is not working for you, there may be something about the browser you're using that is the problem.
If the seller is no longer a registered user, that could be another reason why a report wouldn't go through.
You didn't state at what point you received the message. When you clicked the link to file a report? Or when you finished filling out the entire questionnaire and then tried to submit it?
