How can you bypass the chat box to talk to a ebay agent?
I have a potential buyer from Australia, sent a screen shot showing his ship cost is over $2000.00 for a 7'x6"x4" pkg? Had another buyer from Canada complain that his ship cost on one of my ads is $270, where the ship option I listed UPS to Canada shows a max of $202.00? Just want to make a complaint and hopefully ebay will check out these very high ship charges on listings? But unable to get past the dumb chat box that lists a couple of articles and then is "done for now".
How can I bypass the chat box to have an ebay agent call me?

You can ask questions right here to get an answer for many questions. Just reply with the question or start a new topic with specific title.

There is no incoming phone number for buyers or sellers. If you want a call back from eBay Customer Service, here is how to get a call:
Start at an article close to your question (you can look from here: https://www.ebay.com/help/home)
Scroll to the Bottom of the page similar to your question
1) Click "Contact Us" or the ? then:
In the CHAT WINDOW
2) Type "I need help"
3) Click "Selling" (or your topic)
4) Type "Agent" in the chat window
5) You may need to click "Something Else" or "More Options" or type "Agent" a few more times
6) Click “Have Us Call You†(or "Chat with an Agent")
-- If you use a call filter on your phone, turn it off temporarily, or it might block the incoming call.

OP6 months agoYes I tried - please have an agent call me several times? And got nowhere? It never gave me the - more options - or something else options? So please try it for yourself? My initial question was that I wanted to speak to an agent concerning international ship charges? It points out articles only and then states "done for now". It's become harder and harder to talk directly to ebay, and I have only been successful when I had a return or specific buyer complaint to ebay that I could point to.

If you get me the eBay Item Number for the listing I can look at it and provide feedback.
I am able to get a call back following my instructions. Just keep typing agent, it may take several times.
As an alternative you can use eBay's social media customer service to get assistance

OP6 months agoYes I was able to eventually get thru, and the chat box followed my request but initially I couldn't get past it after a few tries. It becomes frustrating when you have a legitimate need, and keep getting the same circle leading nowhere.
