How can we setup a forum board that actually addresses eBays bad policies.
Is there anyway to setup a forum where we can address all the issues eBay puts us, as sellers through, and then just shrugs it off and says not our problem? This platform, has become so one sided to the buyer that the seller regularly gets screwed. I have tried everything from invisible ink to picturing the out going products, to no avail. anyone with help in this matter, or a group willing to help get this- less one sided, please let me know. I'm all ears after losing $584.46 to two pickleball paddles on a bad return that eBay sided with the buyer. The buyers account was made the same month of the order, (1 day before the order) and returned March 1st of the following month. Anyone who wants to help/team up let me know because i promise if it hasn't happened to you already, it will. I've been a seller of this platform since December 2022.
Thanks in advance.

My selling ID has been listing Things for sale since about 2011 and has never once been "screwed" in any sense by eBay.
Unless you count the one and only time that I simply could not locate a Thing that was listed, and that sold for less than $12.00, so I had to cancel the sale due to "out of stock." I got a "seller defect" for that and had to wait the "excruciatingly" long 12 months for it to no longer count against me.
Oh, there was also the time when a buyer gave me neutral feedback for an absolutely bogus reason that anybody familiar with the type of Thing he bought from me would know was pure balderdash. I had to "suffer" through the 12 months after that feedback waiting, dreading that somebody else would not buy from me after reading his comment. Fortunately, that didn't happen, and sales of similar Things helped me pay about half of my property taxes that year.
That's it: my two less-than-delightful eBay experiences in about 15 years.
Maybe my selling ID follows eBay's rules and procedures and policies better than you do ?

Mentor6 months agoDid the buyer file a return request for the paddles, what reason did they give, and how did you respond?
If the buyer filed a return request with a valid reason per the Ebay Money Back Guarantee, your next step would have been to issue a return shipping label and refund after receiving the returned items.
How did you lose $584.46? Did you mistakenly refund before receiving the returned items?
You will not be able to create a forum on the Ebay website to complain about Ebay. You would need to create a forum elsewhere.

OP6 months agoWe have a zero return policy, costing us the top seller PLUS rating. For buyers that misuse the return policy. As much as eBay says 1 in a ton relate to a bad refund it’s more like that single return costs close to a thousand dollars each time. Costing us final value fees. Also to answer your question they sent the refund on the exact last day it could go out and be legit. This way the second it ended up being delivered I was being penalized every second I didn’t send the refund until it was negatively effecting my selling metrics. So the second the box was delivered it warned me to send the refund or eBay would step in and send it anyway. With a decent drive to pickup said package. And the scammer putting reason for return being “found a better price” eBay was allllll over me.

OP6 months agoSo yeah is being nice we swallowed our pride, tried to be helpful and said ok if you found a better price sure. Accepted the return and got burned spent 45 minutes on the phone with an “eBay agent” who told me everything would be fine. They would side with me, and it would take about 2 weeks. However 1 hour later I received an email saying they sided with the BUYER.

Mentor6 months agoYour "No returns" policy is overridden by Ebay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers.
You have 2 business days to issue the refund after receiving the returned item, not "penalized for every second" you didn't refund after receiving the returned item.
Per Ebay: "When you agree to give the buyer their money back, or once you receive the returned item, you'll need to issue their refund within 2 business days. If you don't refund the buyer within 2 business days of receiving the item, we may automatically issue a refund to them on your behalf."

"Found a better price" is NOT a valid reason per the Ebay Money Back Guarantee, so you would be able to decline the return request if they chose that reason.
EDITED TO ADD: If you cooperated with a buyer that files a return request and issued a full refund after receiving the return, you should have received a fee credit.

OP6 months agoalso a forum listing all the user that time and time again violate returns/refunds and just overall bad business etiquette would be amazing as well.

OP6 months agoHow about about another one showing all the times eBay has screwed up. That would be a nice forum.
