Sellers are required to enter accurate information as to shipping method, weight of the packaged item, dimensions of the package. ebay uses that information to calculate the shipping cost from the seller's zip code to the buyer's zip code. If the seller made a mistake, s/he is required to pay the difference out of pocket. The seller cannot ask the buyer for more money. Hopefully, it will not be an expensive lesson.
