The seller is on board with cancelling bid but says he canâ€™t figure out how to cancel my bid as Iâ€™m the only bidder and it only ends the auction early and sells to me

From what I hear eBay removes any hyperlinks from messages from members to members, even to eBay pages, so send him these instructions on how to find the link:

Go to the Site Map (link at the bottom of this and most ebay.com pages) Sell Section (use the shortcut at the top--it's a long scroll down) and you'll find the link to that and several other useful seller tools.
