how can I receive a refund for this purchase?

I pressed on a buy it now tab and then noticed it wasn’t a free shipping like I thought, but instead a free local pick up. So I looked all over the eBay site trying to cancel my purchase. I was only able to request a cancellation. A few days later I received a cancellation rejection. Saying something to the effect too much time had passed. That doesn’t make sense. As soon as I had made the purchase I realized it was a pickup only sell. So as quickly as possible I requested a cancellation rejection. So the too much time has passed makes no sense to me. Please help me. I’ve sent five messages to the seller with NO response. Please honor the statement, “eBay Money Back Guarantee, Get the item you ordered or your money back.” I love eBay, but this purchase isn’t going very well. Again please help.
