How can I dispute the shipping charges that eBay says I owe as a seller?
I shipped something that the buyer paid $10.50 in shipping, and after shipment, eBay says that the actual cost of shipping was more than $100 and so now I owe them.
The shipment did NOT cost that much and eBay gives me no options to dispute it. Please help, I'm going crazy and can't ship out any other items that I've sold because of this.

I am hoping you return to reply to the questions @comics-scifi-collectibles and @disneyshopper asked so we can explain how to appeal.
was this the hair dryer? That was likely a large package and could have surcharges.
Don't rely on eBay estimates for shipping.
Enter the actual weight and dimensions of your packaged item and use Calculated shipping.

Mentor1 week agoWhat is the item number? What is the shipping used, the weight of the package, and the dimensions of the package? The FROM and TO zip codes?

OP6 days agoItem number is 01-15203-06924
It was shipped from 96002 to 33198.
I don't know the weight and dimensions of the package.

OP6 days agoI just image searched the hair dryer to find out the weight and dimensions, and it's approximately 14" diameter and 13" in height. Weight is about 9 lbs. The box I used to ship was slightly larger than the hair dryer.

Mentor1 week ago@baconbe-30 That sounds very frustrating.
What shipping company did you actually use, some sellers use a different one than stated on the listing.
What were the package dimensions and weight?
Did you enter the package dimensions on the listing OR just use eBay's suggested shipping price?

OP6 days agoI used USPS, and I used eBay suggested shipping.....I'm still new to eBay and didn't think that would be a problem.
Unfortunately, I don't have the USPS receipt that shows the weight of the package and I don't know the dimensions. I just know that there is no way the shipping should have been more than $100.

Mentor6 days ago@baconbe-30 Go to the sold item on this page> https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS select sell similar> then scroll down to the shipping section and see what package dimensions and weight you entered. If you didn't change it when you bought the label then that will be the same.
Then Delete the draft from this page> https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/drafts
NEXT here is how to dispute a USPS shipping adjustment>
To check on shipping labels, go here: https://www.ebay.com/ship/lmng
Some of your shipping labels have cost adjustments.
If you think these adjustments are incorrect, you can contact USPS Customer Care at 1-844-819-5187 or verifypostagehelp@usps.gov to open a dispute. Make sure you have the IMPB and Revenue Assurance ID below to identify the adjustment. USPS will respond within 5-15 business days.

Mentor6 days ago@baconbe-30 I also wanted to add that if you can not ship your other items that you sold within your stated handling time it's really going to hurt your account.
I recommend HIDING your listings using Time Away until you feel comfortable with shipping again. https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/selling-tools/time-away?id=5137&st=12&pos=2&query=Time%20Away&intent=time%20away&context=DEFAULT_SELLER&docId=HELP1600
