How can I dispute a shipping adjustment from the shipping company?
I've sold close to 100 of one item. It's in the box it was shipped in and weighs 8.5 lbs. They ALL weigh 8.5 lbs. I now have a shipping charge from FedEx saying that it weighs 9.1 lbs.
Every few months, I calibrate my electric scale with FedEx's just to be sure that it stays accurate. It's not a big charge but shipping costs have certainly been nibbling in to bottom line and I'm not happy that now they want to take some schekles from me even more than the usual bite.
I've looked through all the Help Articles but don't find any where *gasp*, it isn't my fault.
Thank you for any advice you can give. Jan

Mentor4 months ago@jandalco Only eBay customer service can file the dispute since they are the Fed Ex customer. I recommend contacting CS on social media to ask them to do this. Keep in mind that Fed Ex does sometimes add incorrect surcharges but there are CORRECT surcharges that you can read about on the Fed Ex website.
Personally if I have an item that is too large or heavy to ship via USPS then I use UPS and buy the label from PIrateship.com. Pirateship helps with insurance claims and surcharge disputes. UPS does have a list of valid surcharges on their website too. UPS does not add surcharges as often as Fed Ex does.
Social media is the best way to contact customer service for this issue.
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service. ( I feel that it's ok to use this option since it does affect your bottom line.)
Click this link> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814
Then Type PAYOUT In the chat bot box on the lower right.
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.
Or you can also contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.
