How can I contact ebay they are trying to bill me $20 more for a label
I sent a package that weighed 12.25 pounds. Ebay is now trying to claim it was 24 pounds. The buyer already received the item and hasn't contacted me that anyone told him he had to pay anything so that at least isn't an issue.
Ebay is also claiming that the package was a 1 inch bigger in length and height than I put down. I always measure and weigh carefully because I know there could be issues if you don't, and the last thing I need is a ticked off buyer saying that the ship cost was shorted and they were made to pay it. Them adding on that one inch made the cost of shipping jump up $20 more than it was, that they now want me to pay. I had never used UPS before to send packages and after this I won't ever again.
There is no way to reply to the email ebay sent me, and "contact us" is a joke. How can I contact them to get this cleared up? and why would ebay have been contacted by UPS and not myself if there was an issue?

OP1 year agoI did measure the outside of the box after I packaged it up. I just contacted the buyer to ask if they still have the box and can confirm the measurements. But, I still need a way to contact ebay to contest this.

Mentor1 year agoAlways measure the outside of the box, rounding UP to the nearest inch. If you use the measurements printed on the outside of the box, those are usually the inside dimensions. If your package exceeds 1728 cubic inches, the carrier will charge dimensional weight rather than the actual weight. I think that is why you are being charged for a 24 pound package. You paid using ebay, so UPS charges ebay for the underpaid shipping, and then ebay charges your account.
