How can I Appeal a Late shipment that was denied removal
Summary: rock_n_jocks_26 experienced an issue with eBay regarding a shipment showing incorrect tracking information, which resulted in three late shipment notices affecting their seller ratings. They shipped items promptly, but a glitch caused the tracking to reflect incorrect data. Despite providing evidence, eBay held them responsible, suggesting they lacked diligence. fashionsandbeauty4u advised on defect removal processes, while eastlaneave recommended asking the buyer for additional feedback to help resolve the issue. rock_n_jocks_26 expressed frustration with eBay's handling of the situation.
I sent a package to a buyer that had four cards that I combined shipping on. The cards were shipped out the day after purchase and the buyer received them early enough that he provided feedback on the purchase and is a repeat buyer. Now, a month later some glitch in the matrix shows that the delivery was not accepted until almost a month later in a completely different city than I ship from and that it was delivered to a completely different city than the buyer lives in. I am being dinged for three of the items but not the one that has the positive buyer feedback attached or it. I sent this in and eBay is telling me it is my fault and that I need to be more diligent with my shipping. WTF eBay? How can I get this removed from my seller ratings? It's like they didn't even read what I wrote and just looked at the USPS shipping and decided I was wrong.

Did you use combined shipping with Ground Advantage? If so, did you add tracking to each transaction?
Are you getting defects for not shipping them or late defects?
Ebay will automatically remove unwarranted late shipment defects in 72 hours if they qualify.
If they are not removed in that time frame, you can submit a defect removal request in your Seller Hub.

OP3 weeks agoYes, I used USPS Ground Advantage, I included the shipping number on each item when I did the combined shipping invoice for the buyer. Buyer was very happy with everything. It was all good until today when the tracking somehow got update with completely different info and I got a notice that I had late shipping notice for three of the four items on the invoice. The one with the Positive review is fine even though it also has the bogus shipping data attached to it. The other three items however show as late shipping and delivery date (yesterday) even though the buyer got them weeks ago. When I pointed all of this out to eBay to get them removed, eBay responded, Nope and you need to be more diligent in your shipping to avoid this in the future, because apparently all they did was look at the tracking in USPS, which is hosed. I live in ID where all my scans are started, but now the new tracking data shows that the items were accepted in L.A. about a week ago and shipped and delivered to Mission Viejo for delivery (yesterday), even though the buyer that they were delivered to over a month ago is in AZ. I am very diligent about shipping within one business day of a buyer purchasing an item and communicate with them constantly and always follow-up after delivery. This is not making me happy with eBay at the moment.

See if your buyer will leave feedback for the other 3 items and indicate in the feedback that the item arrived on time.
That will be far easier than convincing eBay about the reused tracking number.
