How can ebay state that an item is shipped when the shipper is still awaiting item

I don't understand how ebay can send a message to the buyer stating item is shipped when the shipper is still awaiting the item!

@photofalls I do the same thing that @disneyshopper does. I wait to ship the same day I print the label

When the seller prints the shipping label, ebay sends out a message stating the item has shipped. Sellers have been asking ebay to change that message slightly, but they have not done it.

That is why I do not print my shipping labels until the morning I plan to ship my packages out.
