How can Buyer change shipper after paying, but before Seller creates shipping label.
How can Buyer change shipper after paying, but before Seller creates shipping label. They chose USPS, but can save 1/2 if they use Fedex. Can seller change it when creating a label? How does Buyer get refund for the higher shipping cost he originally paid for?

OP9 months agoI sopke with an eBay agent to find the following:
Even though the Buyer specified shipper A, the Seller can choose whatever suits him the best.
The Seller does not have to inform the Buyer that his selected shipper was not used
The Seller is not obligated to refund the savings realized by the Seller switching shippers. These funds belong to the Seller.
I messaged the Buyer to ask if I could change his selection of shipper.
He replied that would be fine. He further offered to have me pocket the savings.
The eBay agent said the Shipper oftenshares the savings with the Buyer. That is what I did.

Are you asking the question as the buyer OR the seller? My answer below assumes you're the buyer:
A buyer gets to choose the shipping company at the time they pay for the purchase ... assuming the seller offers more than one shipping method.
If the seller only offered one shipping method ... then you needed to ask the seller prior to purchasing the item whether they would be willing to consider shipping by a different method. It's too late to start negotiating a different shipping method after you've paid for shipping.

The Buyer can only select what carriers the Seller puts in their listings. A quick glance at your recently sold listings shows Ground Advantage was offered. Although it may save them money to switch carriers, the Buyer would need to agree to that. Some Buyers prefer certain carriers due to previous delivery issues.
