How can a buyer paid the seller additional shipping?
Hi. I sold an item and the shipping amount allocated by eBay was not sufficient. The transaction has gone through. The buyer is willing to reimburse me for the additional shipping cost - how can the payment be sent to me?

There is no way to make the buyer pay more than what was set in the listing.
If the shipping wasn’t correct, it is up to the seller to cover the difference.

OP1 year agoI contacted the buyer prior to the purchase being completed, as she's agreed to pay the difference. My question is, how can she pay me the difference?

Mentor1 year agoIt is considered fee avoidance. There is NO LEGAL way for you to ask, and no legal way for the buyer to agree.
The legal way to do it, cancel the transaction by choosing 'out of stock'.
Relist the item with corrected shipping values. This is determined by packing the item as if it was ready to go, just the top flaps open. Only then can you determine the shipping dimensions. That much china might be better in two (or more) boxes. Shipping dimensions are needed to determine shipping price.
The box(es) that contains all this china will need to withstand a toss down a flight of stairs.

Mentor1 year ago54 pieces of china? If shipping via USPS, there is a limit of 70 pounds per package. I believe Fed Ex and UPS also have a 70 pound limit.
