How are you huys dealing with big ticket item returns?
I have had the scariest episode with eBay where I sold an electronic item at less than what I wanted to (still it was a little expensive), and on the 28th or 29th day the buyer messages me for a return stating that the item isn't working. eBay completely sided with the buyer and I had to pay them for return shipping. When I got it back, the item showed marks of abuse and was shipped in the worst possible manner. Whether it broke on the way, or before that is another matter. A few weeks of fighting with eBay and I was able to get my money back, but with a broken item which was working before I sold it.
This has literally stopped me from selling anything more than $20 on eBay.
I would like to get back into it, but wanna know how the community deals with such losses. Or how can these be mitigated?
