The easiest way to avoid items shown on the main eBay page is to pick a different page to bookmark and use that to reach eBay instead.
Other ways including figuring out why that item appears in order to remove it; for instance, is the item from a seller on your Saved Seller list? Or does it appear in one of your Saved Searches?
You may also be able to use an ad blocker's element hiding tool to block such recommendations from appearing on that page in your browser.
