Holds, Holds, Holds...
Does anybody else here in the eBay community find themselves getting kicked out of their place because they can't cover the rent due to waiting on payments that are on hold? Do any of yourself find walking 8 miles into town to panhandle for gas to walk all the way back to your house to put gas in the car just to take your packages to the post office and fulfill eBay shipping deadlines?
How about a show of hands for all those who are hesitant to ship anything that people buy because all of your funds are on hold, and you don't know if you're going to get burned or not?
A lot of hands went up there.. so many of you had this happen to you twice?
Rents due again. Everybody gets their packages for me, everybody gets charged by eBay for buying my packages, and eBay likes to hold your money for this and that and the other.
eBay doesn't care about rent being paid. Landlords don't care about eBay not paying.
So I have to learn how to not care about having a house again, somehow not care about having to sell everything again cuz I have to move. Have to learn how to not care that all of my customers packages are getting water damaged because their seller lives in a tent with three cats and a fat old lady. Again.
Having to tell my customers that the police took all their stuff before I could ship it, and carded me off to jail, cuz the police don't care about eBay holds, nor unsatisfied customers, nor why you can't pay rent, or why you're sleeping along this freeway off-ramp.
All they care about is you're going to jail. Again.
I would use eBay to sell all my belongings since I'm getting thrown out apparently, but I can't be reliable salesman from jail. It's hard to communicate with buyers and settle disputes when you're only out of your cell for half an hour a day, and there's no access to your my eBay account behind bars..

I'm very sorry that you are having financial difficulties, but they have nothing to do with eBay. It sounds like you've had these difficulties for a long time because the first step after getting an eviction warning is not to be thrown in jail.
First of all, when you listed your items, there was no guarantee they would actually sell. If they didn't sell, you would still have your financial difficulties. And then what about next month, and the month after...?
Secondly, eBay explains payment holds to you each time you list an item (see the link to this information above the button you clicked to list each item). As a new seller, funds are typically held for up to 31 days for most items. Unfortunately if you don't inform yourself about the policies and read the user agreement, you are bound to cause yourself a lot of trouble that you don't need.

Again, I really really am sincerely sorry about your difficulties. Blaming eBay about it however is not going to solve them. In fact it just delays you exploring actions that WILL resolve you problems. Selling some things on eBay can help, but it isn't a long-term solution especially as you currently only have two items for sale.
