Highest bidder sale cancellation

I recently won highest bidder on a 3 set of 4’ irwin clamps. Paid for the item but before it could ship, seller cancelled saying that they were damaged or missing. He’s selling the very same item again, but for triple my highest bid. E bay is unwilling to help-but I think it’s very unethical and shouldn’t be allowed on their platform.

Ebay will issue a defect on that seller's account for cancelling the transaction.

You stated "E bay is unwilling to help". What kind of help do you need from Ebay?

When the seller cancelled the transaction, you should have automatically been refunded.

@eroom653 . Sorry that you had a bad seller When a seller cancels a listing as out of stock/ damaged they receive a defect. It doesn't take very many defects for the seller to be banned from eBay.
