Hi I sold an item on eBay and the buyer pays he went USPS ground advantage, he paid just under 60.00
First I took this item apart and wrapped the individual items in two boxes , together they weighed 90 pounds, went I went to the post office they said it was 100 dollars for the 70 lb box and 55 dollars for the twenty pound box so I went to fedex it was 128.00 for both , here’s my question, if I printed the label for 59 dollars the buyer paid , how am I making up the difference when I get to the post office, Thanks in advance for your help , I guess I’m getting old not used to all this !

Mentor2 years agoIf you know it is wrong, do not print a label based on the weight you entered in the listing. Most POs will just reject your package and tell you to get new labels. Some will sell you the difference in postage, but it will be at the retail rate.
The post office charges more than eBay charges, so print the right labels from eBay - it won’t get you down to $60, but it will be less than the $100 + $55.
If you need 2 labels, you can do that through eBay. Correct the weight and dimensions to be box #1, purchase that label. Then click purchase another label. Change the weight and dimensions to be box #2, and purchase that label.
