Hi first time seller's question: Does eBay charge a listing fee whether or not an item sells?
I just listed a few photos of two doors for sale. When I tried to click "listing now", a message popped up saying I needed to select a lowest price to sell for "immediate payment". Clicking on it, I was brought back to that must sale space. Looking for some hint around "Reserved Price" area, I noticed a circled "i" thing on right up beside it. Moving the cursor on that thing, a message pops up,"This is the lowest price you're willing to sell an item for. A non-refundable listing fee, charged when the listing goes live, applies whether or not the item sells."
My eyes bugged out: I AM GOING TO BE CHARGED A NON-REFUNDABLE LISTING FEE, APPLIED WHETHOR OR NOT THE ITEM SELLS
This warning stopped me right in the track. I'm moving forward unless someone tells me I won't be charged a listing fee if the items don't sell. Thanks.

Mentor11 months agoDO NOT list with a Reserve price. ebay charges 7.5% of the reserve price regardless if the item sells or not. Just start the listing at the lowest price you will accept if you only get one bid.
