Help with Shipping fees for volume discounts on fragile items
I have a listing of very fragile items. I have 12 of them I am selling in groups of 2. Shipping them all in one box will increase the size of the box a lot. But the shipping calculator only adds the extra weight and does not take into account the size of the box. Therefore, if they buy all 6 lots, the price only goes up by a few dollars but not enough to cover the actual shipping fee. Example: original box size 14 x 12 x 10 = $9.60. When adding the extra lots, the shipping calculator maxes out at $18.45 for all 6 lots. If they all go in 1 box, it would cost over $50.00. And if I ship them separately to possibly prevent extra breakage, it would be more. I can't find where I can choose not to combing shipping on volume purchases using the calculated shipping method. I don't want to charge a flat fee because I live in California and shipping across the country cost much more than local. I wouldn't want to overcharge local but I don't want to get underpaid for across country either.
