Help with seller communication regarding returns
I have contacted the seller to return an item I received damaged. They have messaged me back with an offer to negotiate a discount rather than a full refund. I cannot find a way to reply to the sellers message easily using the eBay messaging system. There is no reply button. How do I respond to the seller telling them no thank you, please process a full refund so that there is a record of my response captured within the eBay messaging system? Thanks.

Once a request is opened, all communications should be through the request details page. Click on the Check my request status button on that page and the seller's offer should be there and you should be able to decline that request. There is also a link on that page to ask eBay to step in if you are unhappy with the seller's response.

OP3 years agoMega,
Thanks for the quick and thorough reply. This is exactly the path I took to initiate the return. After I did this (photos and all) the seller responded with a "how about I give you $10 off to keep the item?". I want to reply "no thanks" but there is no reply button for me to respond to his email. This was my question, now that a conversation has begun how do I reply? I just cannot find a way using the eBay messaging system (unlike this community help system that DOES have a reply button...).
