Help with problematc seller
Hello,
I bought something and the seller sent the wrong item in a poorly packed box. After seeing this damage i decided i wanted a refund instead of a replacement. When i contacted the seller and explained i wanted a refund seller told me that i have to pay for the return postage. Seller screwed up-seller should pay. What can i do?
Thank you.

Mentor2 weeks agoopen a return request from the sold item with the reason 'received wrong item' the seller will then HAVE to upload a prepaid return shipping label.
keep track of the instructions and timelines on the case.

Mentor2 weeks agoHi I'm sorry you're having trouble with an ebay seller. I see you are in Germany. You are likely covered by eBay's Buyer Protection. Here is what eBay says, You can shop with peace of mind on eBay, because eBay Buyer Protection covers you. If a problem does arise, eBay will ensure that you get your item or your money back.
Here's how it works:
If your item is not delivered or differs significantly from the description, contact the seller via "Resolve a problem" (on your computer, in the top right corner under "Customer Service").
Most sellers resolve the issue very quickly. If your seller hasn't done so after 10 days, we'll take over – you can escalate the case to us by clicking "Resolve a problem".
We will review the case and contact you within 48 hours. If you have not received an item or if an item you received does not match the description, we will refund the purchase price and shipping costs .
If you did not pay by direct debit or credit card, the refund will be processed via PayPal. If you do not yet have a PayPal account, you will be asked to create a free PayPal account. Further information can be found in the FAQs .
HERE is the eBay page with all the information you should need.
Best wishes with a speedy resolution.
