Help with new International Shipping
Hi, I was hoping someone could help out a bit with some of ebay's new international shipping. I have been shipping international for a long time so I am very familiar with the procedure, but it seems that recently ebay has changed something. I tried ebay Global shipping for a while - where everything went to KY - but I did not like it. There were too many items sent back to me so I removed it from my international shipping options and just kept using USPS for all of my international shipping. It was only a little more money and much more reliable.
Anyhow, a few weeks ago I noticed that I had sold a few items that were international, but being shipped to Chicago and being charge domestic shipping rates. I am OK with that. I figured I would try it and see what happens. So far, so good. The thing is, I did not opt into any programs or agree to anything to make this happen. It just happened.
So, here is my actual issue. I have now sold a few items international, but the prices are no longer coming up in the listing when I try to send an invoice. I have to go in and hand calculate the shipping and then send them an invoice. It's a huge waste of time. I double checked my sixbit listings, and they were uploaded with an international shipping calculator, but for some reason, some of my listings have dropped the calculation. With over 20k listings, I don't have time to go in and double check each and every one of them. Does anyone know how or why this may have happened? Has anyone else had the same thing happen? I believe it may have something to do with the newer global shipping program but I can't say for sure. Is there a way to opt out?

·2 years agoeBay International Shipping has been added to all seller listings that qualify. Qualifying listings can not include a third party international shipping service. Since some of your listings were created with USPS international shipping, you have a mix of both EIS and your own shipping method.
When eBay EIS is chosen by the buyer, that buyer will already see the end-to-end shipping cost, so there is no need to send an invoice. However, EIS can not combine shipping (yet). The best current workaround, if combining shipping on similar items, is to work with the buyer and cancel the orders. Then post a new listing that contains the multiple items. That way the buyer can make a single purchase with single shipping.
In some cases, an international buyer will not see an EIS shipping cost because the item can not be shipped to that country. If that occurs, you may see that the country is missing from the shipping list that appears on the shipping tab.
The benefit of EIS is that once you make the sale and your item successfully arrives at eBay's hub, you are out of the picture. EIS will deal with any lost, damaged, or buyer remorse items, without requiring any intervention or cost on your end.
