Help with a return
I purchased an item from a seller who shipped me someone else's order. I contacted him right after I opened it. He said I can just mark the carton return to sender and no shipping cost involved. I'm not sure that is something you can do. I thought if you were returning something you had to have a label from eBay.
Any help is appreciated.

Mentor2 years agoNo. You should not use the Return to Sender after opening. It will void your buyer protection.
The easiest way is to go to your Purchase history, locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on MORE to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. You print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
The seller can then relist the item and you then repurchase it.
