Help with a “Guideâ€
In response to my first question in a new forum, another user made a series of harassing posts in which he criticized my pricing, and posted screenshots of proprietary copyrighted material lifted from the FAQs and tutorials section of my business’ website, in a mocking and sarcastic manner. He also stated publicly for all to hear the importance of blocking me from buying, a kind of black listing he seems to have visibly done elsewhere in the Community Boards, to others of whom he disapproved, even where there was nothing to suggest interest in, relevance to, or competition with, his own listings. The obvious insinuation was that others ought to follow his lead.
Fortunately, a mature and experienced user politely stepped in both to answer to my question and clarify the forum’s mission.
Upon reading read eBay’s policies and as per their guidelines, I did not mail him. Rather, in the only apparent way to stop this, I reported my original post and asked eBay to take it down with all responses. My questions here, to preserve the reputation of past and present eBayers he has singled out to bully, and to protect our privacy:
1. How do I verify this was done? How can I review activity to find the original thread location, and verify they removed the damaging and inappropriate content?
2. I was surprised, in reviewing this matter, to see the label “guide†by his name. What is a “guide?†What are their qualifications, how are they appointed and evaluated, and what are their duties? I can see there is a kind of reputation point system, but is anyone monitoring and moderating those who are taking it upon themselves to use community boards vindictively?
For someone to act as he did is doubly disturbing. I am a longtime user (2 decades) and this is not the eBay I once knew. We need a high quality of behavior from all eBayers, and that much higher from anyone in any kind of support capacity.

It looks like the post is gone. The only thread showing that you've posted on is this one.
Be assured that that member is not in a support role. eBay assigns those names like Guide, Rockstar, Adventurer (which is yours and is about 4 steps higher than a Guide - you'll see it under your user name at the top of your thread). The role name is based on several factors like how many questions you've asked/answered, how may likes or solutions you've received, etc. No one really likes them but eBay so most of us just ignore them.
At any rate, you reported the thread and a moderator reviewed and removed it. The member would have received a warning.
