Help when scammed by a Buyer
I am turning to this community because my chats and calls with Ebay are not helpful and I can not seem to get an email address to contact them. I sold a product. The Buyer paid. I sent the product and they received it. Then the Buyer started a dispute stating that they did not receive what I posted. I sent proof to Ebay that it was indeed the correct item. The Buyer then had their bank cancel the transaction and the Buyer kept my product. I told Ebay this was fraud and basically stealing by the Buyer and Ebay offered me no recourse. I am now out the money and the product. Has anyone else had this happen to them and what did you do? This Buyer lives in another state or I would bring them to small claims court.

It sounds like you attempted to fight the buyer’s return request they filed with eBay … so they filed a claim with their credit card company. I’m very sorry, but eBay can no longer help you.
Had you accepted the return … you would have had your item back before having to issue the refund.

OP2 years agoThe buyer did not request a return. If they did, I would have gladly taken back the product. In fact, the buyer never contacted me.

I assumed you meant they started the dispute with eBay first … AND THEN with their credit card company.
If they filed the claim only with their credit card company … then I’m afraid that eBay has no control over the outcome.
