Help stop a scammer on eBay
Won an auction a sports card from a seller with 100% rating. The card I paid $85 but could be worth possibly $300. So I received the card and immediately sent it to be professionally graded which cost me another $30. Grading takes over 45 business days, and then is mailed back to you. When I received the card it could not be graded because it had been trimmed in some way. This is apparently done to cards with damaged edges to make them appear in better condition. So now the card is worthless, and I immediately messaged the seller 3 separate times with no reply. I can’t request a return because it was like 2+ months ago. I sent an inquiry to eBay and they didn’t respond. How should I handle this it’s basically forgery and I’m out $115. I can’t see how eBay can let this go. Obviously since I never received a response from the seller they know the card was tampered with. So please let me know what I can do.
