Help please

Question

I am new to eBay and recently posted an item to sell. The buyer and I decided to cancel the sale it is currently awaiting for me to ship it. It says the buyers payment is on hold until 8/4, will this payment go through automatically, i don't if I have to refund her.

Any help would be appreciated

@Anonymous Did you cancel the sale using a reason in the drop down menu next to the sold item. Or select it on this page:

Refunds, even for order cancellations, come out of your available funds not pending or held. If you do not have available funds then eBay charges your back up payment method for selling costs.

Have you entered your backup payment method for selling costs here: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list Select Manage under the method you want to use then select Preferred for selling costs. I use a credit card.

Once you issue the refund and the buyers funds are released from being held or finish processing then your account will balance out again.

You will need to contact eBay customer service for assistance if you have any problems with the refund process.
