Help! Local Pickup, ok but can you ship it across country?!
So i listed a beach cruiser as "Local Pickup Only" and a guys pays for it and notices that there's no shipping on the ad and since he is west coast and I'm on the east coast, so i refunded him thru ebay no problem. Next day he offers me 4x my asking price if we could figure out how to ship it reasonably. I find outrageous quotes for shipping, like $500 - $2200 and thought he would back out, but no. Somehow he finds the local UPS store near me and tries to pay them to go pickup the bicycle from me, take it back and package it, then ship it east coast to west, obviously they decline, but offer a box but their boxes are too small, as this is a custom cruiser bike. A custom box or pallet will need to be made for shipping this, bottom line the bike is still here awaiting a pickup, how long do i have to wait for him to pickup?, this is day 14 of this ordeal. Oh and he's already left neutral feedback after ive driven all over town, disassembled a ready to ride bike and wasted time & gas researching S&H options!
