HELP, is ebay done?
Of course, instances happen and we've all heard of frustrated sellers 'quitting,' but the platform has gotten worse and worse for sellers and I really see no upside anymore. I vented in December about a 'chargeback,' left for a while and tried some more but more protected (photos, description, etc.). Got a few more sales, one which received, used and offered positive feedback (also rare these days) waited for a month, then 'disputes (well past 30 days). How can they do this?
Knock yourselves out, I do this as a service or hobby, not for a few bucks, so you sellers can go enjoy. I think the platform is just finished.

Buyers cannot file Ebay disputes more than 30 days from date of delivery.
Unfortunately buyers can file chargebacks with their credit card company. Ebay has no control over that.

OP2 years agoThey CAN act as the 'receiving bank'/merchant and fight back on seller behalf, by providing the info of a case just like a merchant would. But they don't. Their decision to not make case should not be without cost. That could be a business decision, justified by cost, but then provide compensation to seller. THEY DON'T, period. We've handled chargebacks directly before, it's tedious, but proper documentation always prevails. Ebay, yet again is fostering nonsense. START fighting back.
