Help, I'm being held hostage by eBay
Long story short, after 2 years of making no money I decided to close my store. I am a non-profit rescue and created the store to help make money for expenses incurred from running a rescue.
I started the procedure in January. I didn't get very far, they weren't letting me close my account. I finally got through to a human being who assured me, after going through the entire process, step-by-step, that we had completed the cancellation of my subscription. I have remove all of my items and have zero (0) balance across the board: nothing coming in/nothing going out. I celebrated and 2 months later I started getting emails that I had insufficient funds to pay for my subscription. I am still fighting with eBay and they are still treating me as if I have a store 😡 (and trying to take out monthly payments from my checking account!). I will now be looking for a class action lawsuit to join.

-If an eBay rep said the cancellation process was complete that may not apply to an outstanding Store subscription. This help page does state that you are subject to the Terms of Service you agreed to when you opened the store. Close your Store | eBay

Mentor1 year agoClicking on your (9) feedback number, I see a blue door icon. That means you are paying for a store subscription. Did you forget to Close the store? You should have done that before going to the link to close your account.
Go here to cancel your store subscription:
https://www.ebay.com/sub/manage
Then I would contact ebay customer service, explain that you overlooked cancelling the store before asking to close your account, and perhaps they will reverse the store subscription charge.
To contact Ebay Customer Service, use this link and click on "Have us call you" or "Chat with us":
