Help! I was scammed as a seller
I sold an iPhone 17 Pro to an eBay user and it was received on Dec 11th 2025. One month later, the buyer claimed the phone was sent damaged (It was not!) and he demanded a $100 payment or he will return it.
I obviously declined because I knew I sent him a perfect phone and could tell he was trying to scam me.
He initiated a return and eBay sent him a label. I figured I was about to be scammed so I recorded a video opening the package, and it turned out he sent me broken battery parts instead!
I appealed the case on ebay, and even sent a signed form indicating that I did not receive the correct item back.
eBay closed the appeal in his favor! I have been an eBay seller for 25+ years and cannot believe this, there is clearly no Seller protection policy, its a lie, and I am considering legal options here.
What can I do? How can eBay function as a business if its this easy to scam sellers??!?!
