Help getting paid when USPS doen't show an item delivered?
I recently sent an item to a buyer in Ventura, CA. I am sure that the delivery was delayed a day or two because of recent fires. USPS shows that it's delayed and not delivered.
I messaged the buyer to see if the package had been received. He confirmed, in the app, that he received the package.
I called ebay to see how I could get paid. On Wednesday their customer service said they could read my messages and get me paid. I called today (5 days later) and asked about the funds. I was told that I need to contact the post office and get them to confirm they delivered it? That's the craziest thing that I have heard.
Has anyone had problems with eBay holding onto your money and blaming the Post Office for not delivering the package? Ebay seems to have to incentive to help. they have been paid by the buyer already and are taking all of the fees from me for items I have listed and shipped.
Has anyone successfully gotten eBay to do their job here?

-Actually, the eBay rep who suggested contacting USPS is partially correct if you file a Tracing update claim or Missing Mail piece claim ... that might get the tracking to update and sent back to eBay to show delivery was confirmed.
-You are a new Seller and just so you know regardless of the delivery status or Feedback from Buyers eBay can and will hold funds for up to 30 days. Here is the Help page thar covers that: Payments on hold | eBay
