Help! Cancelled an order but the seller refused

I accidentally purchased the wrong item and immediately cancelled it, on Friday March 6th at 5:54 AM. The next day March 7th at 10:40pm the seller created a label and refused to cancel the order, stating they had already shipped the item. Yet I see in the tracking information that USPS is still waiting to receive the package. How do I appeal this? This seems like shifty selling tactics. I sent messages to the seller with no response.

Buyers cannot cancel an order. They can make a request, but the seller is not required to accept it. In some cases, the seller cannot cancel. Some sellers have warehouses that process their orders and the process cannot be stopped once an order comes in. I know you're not happy, but the seller didn't do anything wrong or against eBay policy. You will just have to wait and then open a return case once it arrives.
