Help - buyer scammed me
I sold a $300 jacket. The day the buyer received he said he wanted a black one instead and started a return. I receive a message that the item had been returned to a USPS post office box. I don't have a post office box so I went to the post office. I gave them the tracking number and a supervisor came out with an envelope that had the tracking number. The envelope was not addressed to me nor did it have my address. The USPS supervisor said that when she manually entered the tracking number it came back with a similar but different number that showed the label had been generated but the item not sent. She was saying that it didn't make sense and she's never seen that before. She gave me the number to the postmaster general and told me to file a fraud claim. In the meantime, I file a dispute with eBay and the next day they find in favor of the buyer because even though it shows delivered to a post office box, which I don't have, that it's still delivered. So, the reason I wanted a number because I thought perhaps I wasn't making myself clear with a written statement. So, thank you for the number, I called eBay and explained in detail what happened. the rep said he would pass it along to appeals and just now I received another message stating they found for the buyer and refunded the payment. Keep in mind this buyer is brand new with zero feedback. The USPS told me the return label was generated in Detroit but shipped from New York. The buyers address isn't even legit because I was checking to see if it was a drop shipment and the address doesn't even come up. This whole think make me sick. The money, the deceit it truly is making me ill. If you have any suggestions, please, please let me know. Thanks.
