Help! Buyer lied on me
I sold an item and the buyer is claiming I listed the item incorrectly. That’s a lie! I reported the seller for abusing the return policy however The buyer was refunded his money, the buyer kept my item, eBay charged me $71.00 and they are requiring me to purchase a $60.00 return label to get my own item back! Many of the people I’ve spoken with agreed that the buyer abused the return policy but yet when I disputed this the one handling it sided with the buyer! What can I do to get my money back and my item. I get they protect the buyer but what about the seller!? Without a seller there will be no buyer, protect us!! The way they have it set up, any buyer could claim item described inaccurately and get the item free and the seller is left in the hole!! This is ridiculous. Who can I contact or what can I do to get my money and item back!!

Ebay has a 30 day Money Back Guarantee for buyers. Ebay cannot verify that the buyer is not being truthful.
If the buyer filed a Return Request, you needed to approve the return, provide a return shipping label and refund after receiving the returned item.

OP11 months agoI reported the buyer for abusing the return policy and had eBay step in to handle the return. They kept telling me to wait until they got finished with their part on the return.
