Hellp re: Authenticity guarantee to buyer in europe
I have a moderately expensive card up on ebay (1k), and i have been happy that authenticity exists, since I was ripped off by a buyer a few years ago. Therefore, I refuse to send higher-end cards without that service.
However, I now have a buyer in Europe who wants to buy, but previously, they were not eligible for authenticity guarantee, so I don't know what their ebay screen shows or where I will be shipping my supposedly "authenticity guaranteed" card if he were to buy.
I could not find any info about this in the ebay article that came up in my search, so please help or direct me to the right/current info. Thanks!

OP10 months agoI tried on smart phone, i tried on desktop pc... I cannot find anywhere how to turn off the ebay global shipping program for JUST THAT LISTING. I already had that listing set up to EXCLUDE ALL international shipping -- which i thought would override the global shipping program... but you just confirmed it didn't. I WANTED to do global shipping for other items, but I don't want to do it for that price on a trading card.
So... i just turned it off for everything. When you see this mssg, please confirm for me that it has now been turned off for that card. The form said it might take up to 24 hours, so PLMK when you check and if it is indeed off.
Thank you so much!

It now ships to US only.
I do not see a way to exclude a specific item from international shipping, since the opt in overrides your country exclusions.

If sold to an international buyer, your card will not be authenticated.
Cards must be sold on eBay.com by a seller located in the continental US or Canada to a buyer located in the continental US

When listing items that would go for authentication, I would exclude all international locations.

OP10 months agoStill need help...
Can anyone see if it's listed for international? I don't see where I've got it set for global.
Yes, that's what I thought, and i also thought i had already set it for USA-Only, but after you replied, I thought i might have left it on the ebay global shipping or something... but I checked and i don't see that it's set for global.
Trouble is... an international buyer keeps messaging me and I do NOT want to sell outside the Authenticity Guarantee area (aka usa).

The Alakazam card is set to ship internationally. You should edit the listing and exclude the international locations.
