How can I stop receiving offers from sellers just for looking at their items?

eBay allows sellers to send offers to users that have added an item to a cart, added an item to a watch list, or viewed an item more than once (or possibly once for a long enough time). Sellers do not know which users are which, only that an offer can be made.

Users can disable receiving such offers in the Communication Preferences, but users cannot pick and choose which offers are received; it is all or nothing.

If you want to continue to receive offers, you may want to do your research while not signed in, or using a different account, then add items to your watch list if you want receive offers.
