Question

Hey so I’m trying to update my bank account debit card info and it’s not saving. My last name

on the debit card is different then my name on eBay because my eBay account is my married name. How can I change my name on my eBay account or how can I add a debit card. My funds have been on hold for 22 days

the original card I used to sign up was my sister’s door dash card she allowed me to use it and it’s not lettting me delete it or add another card

It always takes a long time to be able to delete a payment source …just in case it is needed to accept a refund down the road … BUT you should be able to add a new payment source AND to make it your Default/ Preferred payment source.

That said, eBay has been very glitchy during the past 24 hours … so that may be the source of the problem. [If you were able to use your sister’s card to pay … you should be able to pay with your card under a different name.]

Try again to delete your sister’s card in 6-12 months. Ask eBay to do it for you if you’re still unable to do it yourself. [I‘ve always had trouble deleting an old card myself.]

EDITED TO ADD:

In order to receive funds for an item you sold … you must have a checking account on file, not just a debit card. The checking account must be in the EXACT same name as your eBay account.

To change your name you should be able to go to your account settings and under Personal be able to edit your name field. You must enter your checking account information first and have it verified before you can enter your debit card information. Keep in mind that having a payout sent to a debit card has a $2 fee to process the payout.
