Hazardous materials
eBay removed my listing for fuel tablets and in the explanation email said 'hexamine' was hazardous and not allowed on the site. They sent me this link to a list of hazardous materials:
Hexamine is not actually on the list but other combustible fuels such as trioxane and methanol are listed. Now if you search for various fuels you'll see that hexamine, trioxane, and methanol listings abound on eBay. I can accept that combustible materials are hazardous, whether or not hexamine is actually on the list, but I've chatted with eBay support and I get passed from useless employee to useless employee. None of them seem to be in the "right department" and none of them seem to know what that department is or how to correctly transfer customers there.
I'm looking for additional information and anecdotes about eBay and hazardous materials and combustibles - I might end up making some YT content out of this nonsense.

Regardless of whether you think your listing qualified for removal or not, listing it again after it has been removed is likely to cause another removal and possible suspension. Do not relist an item that has been removed by eBay.
