Having trouble creating a new Canadian, charity, seller's account.
I'm trying to create a seller's account for a charity I am representing. Ebay is not accepting page 1 of the business info I've entered, but it's not specifying which info it's not accepting. It's all correct. Customer support is telling me I have to register with paypal's giving fund, meanwhile the ebay FAQ on creating a new charity account doesn't list that as a requirement. I'd rather not involve paypal if I don't have to. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Thanks in advance.

Mentor4 months ago@city_on_the_hill The charity has to be registered on the Paypal giving fund when it's community selling, I don't know if it's the same for direct selling like you are doing.
This is the information that have for the .com site, not sure if yours is the same.

I do recommend asking for help on the eBay Canada community boards>

OP4 months agoYour first link doesn't mention paypal at all so I'm not sure why support would tell me it's needed. I will call them again make sure to mention I'm a direct seller. I'll send the same question to the community as you recommend. Thanks for your help!

Mentor4 months ago@city_on_the_hill Maybe they use more AI there and it was blocked because of the links? You could try asking again with the CA links and see how it works.
Here's a link to the eBay.ca Charity Page> https://pages.ebay.ca/ebay-for-charity/
I don't have time to do a comparison for you though.
